My Services

Individual Therapy (Virtual)

Individual therapy is 50 minutes per week devoted to you. Our work will focus on understanding how your experiences, both past and present, have helped shape your inner and outer world. Through our connection, and inquisition of Self, space is made for repair, healing, and creation of a life that you envision for yourself.

Whatever form your relationship takes, we can delve into nurturing, healing, and fortifying your bonds. In couples therapy, our focus will be on how the narratives of two individuals can complement each other instead of hindering progress. Couples therapy provides a space for partners to come together, acquire tools to bolster their foundation, navigate challenges, and discover resolutions. Additionally, it offers a means to periodically connect, ensuring that both partners remain aligned and can dedicate time to enriching their partnership.

Good Faith Estimate Notice

You have the right to receive a “Good Faith Estimate” explaining how much your medical and mental health care will cost.

Under the law, healthcare providers need to give patients who don’t have insurance or who are not using insurance an estimate of the expected charges for medical services, including psychotherapy services.

You have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate for the total expected cost of any non-emergency healthcare services, including psychotherapy services.

You can ask your healthcare provider, and any other provider you choose, for a Good Faith Estimate before you schedule a service.

If you receive a bill that is at least $400 more than your Good Faith Estimate, you can dispute the bill. Make sure to save a copy or picture of your Good Faith Estimate.

For questions or more information about your right to a Good Faith Estimate, visit www.cms.gov/nosurprises or call (800) 985-3059.

Why “LMFT” versus Other Therapeutic Modalities?

When comparing Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist’s (LMFTs) to other mental health fields, such as Licensed Professional Counselors (LPCs), Licensed Clinical Social Workers (LCSWs), and Clinical Psychologists, a few major differences arise. MFTs work with individuals, couples and families and have extensive training working with, and thinking about, problems in the context of our relationships. MFT training is specialized and distinct from other modalities, offering significant benefits to all parties involved—individuals, couples, and families. Marriage and family therapists are equipped with expertise in both psychotherapy and family systems. We are licensed to diagnose and treat mental health disorders while also considering the impact of the person’s symptoms and behaviors on their relationships, as well as how their relationships contribute to their symptoms and behaviors. To read more about these differences, click here.
